Indian Curry - Solah Spices Tokyo

I would like to introduce Solah Spices Tokyo. This is an Indian curry restaurant. The store's name "Solah" means "sixteen" in Hindi, so the curry of this restaurant uses 16 kinds of spices. The store is main dishes are curry, but there are also some tandoori dishes,a nd Indian drinks: such as Chai, lashes and dessert.

This time, I ordered Eggplant Keema Curry (994 yen), Spinach Chicken Curry (1,026 yen), Nan and Roti (One of the non-fermented bread using whole grain flour) and homemade Chai (432 yen). At first, Eggplant Keema Curry was a little spicy and has a large eggplant. Spinach's Chicken Curry did't taste liker spinach, but it wasn't spicy and delicious. You can choose the spicy level, but it is from medium so you be careful, I chose medium the both, but the hotness seems to be different. Nan and Roti were very big so one is enough. Nan was chewy and a bit of sweet, Roti was crispy and tasted like pizza dough. I recommend Nan if you order spicy curry. Chai had little taste and ginger was strong, I 
think that will be divided.

Solah Spicrses located at Kawasaki Asalea basement, restaurant street. It is near to the JR Kawasaki Station and Keikyu Kawasaki Station, please so try it whenever you go to Kawasaki.

Homemade noodles - Pota Pasta Caffe Station

I would like to introduce Pota Pasta Caffe Station.  Pota Pasta Caffe is homemade fresh noodles speciality shop. There are 6 stores in Tokyo, 3 stores in Kanagawa and 1 store in Nagano. I went to the Keikyu Tsurumi store. It is located at the bottom of the stairs of Keikyu Tsurumi Station.The store opened just 1 year ago, so inside is very beautiful and the atmosphere is calm because the interior color is based on brown. 

The characteristics of this cafe is of course the homemade fresh pasta, and all items are very inexpensive (less than 1000 yen). Moreover, you can choose the size (S,M,L) and thickness of noodles (thin or thick). In this cafe, you order at the counter ,then you take the dishes to the table yourself.

This time, I ordered Tomato Mozzarella pasta and Focaccia. The prices are 600 yen (size M) and 80 yen (discount price). The taste was like Margherita pizza, the noodles were chewy and coat the noodles with the sauce. It was so delicious. The Focaccia were big and fluffy, and matched well with the pasta sauce. 

There are also risotto and muffins, and it is open in the early morning until late at night. Please try this cafe.

Italian Bar & Cafe TOSCANA

I would like introduce the Italian Bar & Cafe restaurant TOSCANA. In this restaurant , you can enjoy a lot of alcohol and Italian cuisine such as homemade pasta and pizza. Ingredients and wine seems to be have hard feelings that organic and sent direct from the orchard.The atmosphere is calm with dark lighting and fashionable.
There is counter seat in this shop, so you can see the kitchen and cooking.

This time I ordered Margherita with Smoked mozzarella, sea-salt grilled Matsusaka pork sea, Smoked mozzarella on salad and French fries of beef tallow. Above all, my recommendation are Smoked mozzarella on salad and sea salt - grilled Matsusaka pork. First, as for the salad, a lightly mustard sauce was delicious. And I liked lots of Mozzarella on the top.

The second, grilled pork was tender and juicy. Moreover, sprinkle salt on the pork, it taste sweeter, so you can eat more tasty. In addition, there are the season fair, free drink and fish or meat course and Meat sauce pasta seems to be famous, I want to try next time. I think of course drinking session to be easy to use even one because there are counter. 

I went CIAL Tsurumi store. It located at JR Tsurumi Station East exit, CIAL Tsrumi floor 6.However,  the restaurant located Tokyo, Kanagawa and Saitama, if you go near please try it.

Thai Kitchen Aroi

Today, I would like to introduce the Thai food restaurant Thai Kitchen Aroi. In this restaurant, you can enjoy typical Thai dishes, such as Gapao Rice and Tom Yam Kung and snacks. And there are Vietnamese and Indonesian foods such as Nasi Goren and Pho. 

*Gapao Rice … Fried minced chicken with Nampura and basil, Thai style chicken soboro rice.
*Tom Yam Kung … Sour soup with shrimp.
*Nasi Goren … Indonesian style fried rice.
*Pho … Flat shaped rice noodles.

This time, I ordered Gapao Rice. It uses basil, but it doesn't have a peculiar taste and the sweet seasoning was very delicious. the fried egg was mild and so tasty. 


The atmosphere is calm and has a foreign ambience. Tables are all four - seater tables.The restaurant has lots of menus items, a lunch set, courses and various sets, so I think that it is fun to share some dishes with friends or family. And salad, rice and desserts are included in the lunch set but the price is less than 1000 yen, so I recommend ordering the set menu if yo go at lunch time.

This shop is located at Tennoz Isle Seafort Square, Shinagawa-ku. It is near the monorail station. When you go to around 
Tennoz Isle please try it.

Hamburger restaurant - Becker's

I would like to introduce  the hamburger and sandwiches restaurant, Becker's.The atmosphere is calm and the design in the store is simple. This restaurant  has a smoking room, so you can spend your time comfortably without worrying about cigarette's smell.

The restaurant has a variety of hamburgers, some croissants and a plate set. In addition, there are a lot of side dishes (include sweets) and a morning menu. This time, I ordered the double cheese burger with fried potato set and
take out Bery bery and croissant. Red cheddar and creamy cheese matched the thick buns, so it was so tasty. All the buns and the croissants in this store are made from dough and baked there every day. 

This time, I went to the Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi store. It is located at the Tsurumi Station East exit. Becker's is managed by JR Higashinihon's subsidiary company, so all stores are next to a station. Therefore access is simple.

Kushikatsu Tanaka - 串カツ田中

*Kushikatsu is deep fried food that meats or vegetables sticking on skewer then put on bread crumbs and fried. 

I would like to introduce Kushikatsu Tanaka. This is an izakaya that specializes in deep fried skewered items. The store is all table seats and the atmosphere is like a dining room.The store has around 20 to 25 kinds of deep fried skewers from 100 yen to 200 yen.  

When we arrived and got a seat, cabbage and a container of sauce was offered before the first order. This izakaya's feature is to dip the skewers into sauce by self but you can dip only once, when you want more sauce, use cabbage. You order from a variety of skewered items one by one. 

This time, I ordered 11 kinds of fried skewers, grilled pork and seasoned eggs. I will introduce three of my recommendations.
The first one is red ginger (紅しょうが). It is sour and sweet is the best match with alcohol. The second is mushroom, which is sold for a limited time only in the winter. There third item is cookies and cream. I could't believe it, but it was soft and hot, and very delicious, so please try it. 

There is not only pork cutlet on skewers but also other dishes that so well with  alcohol. Price is cheap, so I recommend this place.

BISTRO 309

I would like to introduce BISTRO 309. This is a bakery and grill restaurant. The atmosphere is very calm and the wall is made of brick, so it feels nostalgic. The store's dishes are priced at about 1500 yen to 2000 yen, so it is very reasonable. There were plenty of empty tables when I went, but it seems to be crowded depending on time.

This time, I ordered grilled the white fish with cod roe

cream sauce and bread. All dishes of this restaurant include all-you-can-eat bread or rice, but most people choose bread, because the restaurant's attractive is to eat various types of bread. I ate 5 kinds; the French toast was soft and melted away and so sweet. Moreover, it was freshly baked and hot, so it was the most delicious of all.

There are about 10 kinds of breads, and the sizes are small, so if you go to the restaurant, please try all kinds. In addition, freshly baked breads are added any time, so those who like breads should try going.

The store is located in LAZONA Kawasaki. I think that going from Kawasaki Staition is easy and the best way to go to the restaurant.
